Get Ready for Spring! With Cherry Blossoms and the Perfect Cocktail!

Hanami, Brooklyn Botanic Garden
Spring officially blooms in late March with cherry blossom season!

As you may know, the Brooklyn Botanic Garden in New York features Hanami (meaning ‘flower viewing’)—a celebration of cherry blossoms that spans the month of April. The month-long celebration concludes with a two-day Sakura Matsuri, a cherry blossom festival, on April 28th and 29th that celebrates traditional and contemporary Japanese culture.

To celebrate the iconic cherry blossom, we urge you to enjoy the Pisco Blossom cocktail—a nod to the blending of Japanese culture (as marked by the sake and lychee) combined with Pisco Portón, the “fifth white spirit” making waves throughout the U.S.  Pisco Portón has a luxurious finish with notes of cinnamon, orange blossom and citrus—the perfect flavor and taste to compliment the celebration of cherry blossoms and spring.

Pisco Blossom

·         2 parts Pisco Portón marinated with Lychee

·         ½ part Sake

·         Garnish with Lychee

Pour Pisco Portón into a shaker with sake and ice. Shake well and strain the contents into a martini glass. Garnish with a lychee.

I've always wanted to go to the Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington. I had no idea there was also a celebration in Brooklyn! And yet, another year I won't make either, {sigh}

I'll need to have a toast with your Pisco Blossom. Thank you so much for sharing, Natashya...
