Mexican Restaurant Margaritas

Mexican Restaurant Margaritas

Searching for different margarita recipes we stumbled upon one we like very much. It was in the comment section of All Recipes...go figure. Someone had posted a comment about these amazing margaritas they enjoyed at a local Mexican restaurant so we figured...why not try them.

For Two Servings:

1/2 cup tequila
1/4 cup Roses Lime Juice
1/4 cup orange liqueur (we used Patron Citronage)
1/4 cup lemon lime soda such as Sprite or 7-up

Put all BUT the soda in a shaker with some ice. Shake it!
Then stir in the soda.....no mess that way.

For the second margarita we used the same recipe as above except substituted Grand Marnier. Yes......the best one of the lot was with that Grand Marnier.

Don't wait to enjoy one of these at your local Mexican joint....try 'em at home.

Bottoms up.

I do enjoy those restaurant margaritas. Who knew the secret was adding 7up? Sounds like a great drink to try.

Huh. Lemon/lime soda. Who knew? I had better stock up!
Looks totally refreshing and delish.
And I love that second glass! Definitely looks like it holds a me-sized drink. ☺
