DonQ Skinny Colada (On the Rocks or Blended)

Sipping cocktails and wearing a swimsuit on the beach...two of the things so many of us love to do in the heat of summer.  Did you know that the average 8 oz. colada weighs in at ~640 calories?  Yikes.  While I prefer to just ignore that fact, Esteban Ordoñez (DonQ’s Head of Mixology) made it so that I could ignore it and not care by developing these "skinnier" versions of the summertime favorite Piña Colada.

DonQ Skinny Colada- On the Rocks
2 oz.             DonQ Coco rum
1 oz.             Pineapple juice
½ oz.             Coconut milk

Shake all ingredients with ice.
Strain into a highball glass with ice.
Garnish with pineapple wedge and dry coconut flakes.
(Approximately 195 calories)

DonQ Skinny Colada- Blended
1½ oz.  DonQ Gold rum
1 oz. Unsweetened pineapple juice
½ oz. Cream of coconut

Mix all ingredients with ice in a blender at high speed.  Serve in a stemmed tall glass.
Garnish with pineapple slice and cherry.
(Approximately 177 calories)
