Blood Orange Margarita for Cinco de Mayo

Looking for a fresh and delicious drink to celebrate Cinco de Mayo, a celebration of Mexican culture and influence? Sure you could do tequila shots with cerveza chashers like last year, but how about something a little more upscale this year? Something with warm fruity tones and great colour as well as flavour. Like a Blood Orange Margarita!

Blood Orange Margarita

Ingredients

* 1½ oz. Tequila Avión
* ¾ oz. Cointreau Orange Liqueur
* 1 oz. Blood Orange Juice
* ½ oz. Fresh Sour Mix

Method:

In a cocktail shaker add all ingredients with ice. Shake and strain; best served over fresh ice and garnish with an orange twist.

Thank you to Tequila Avión for submitting this delicious cocktail to Cocktail Puppy!

This sounds really, REALLY awesome! I love blood oranges, but don't find them too often around here. I'll be looking for some :D
