And let's face it, I'm not. I see no point in bendy body positions when I can have bendy straws instead.
And a little piña colada mix stashed in the bar fridge for emergencies is never a bad thing...
Sometimes you just want a girly drink. Something fruity. And icy. To make you forget that it is now dark before 6pm and that Mad Men is over until next August. Sigh. Do you really think he'll marry her?
Strawberry Colada
per drink:
2-3 oz rum
4 oz piña colada mix
3 large fresh or frozen strawberries
1 tsp strawberry schnapps or liqueur *optional
Mix all the ingredients, except the strawberry schnapps, in a blender with cracked ice. Pour into a hurricane glass and garnish with a strawberry. Top with a tsp of strawberry schnapps, if you like.
New puppies in the litter!
Cocktail Puppy is now a group effort! What's a party without friends? Stay tuned for new voices and new concoctions. Cheers!

Oh, I prefer bendy straws these days, too (although, I used to be big into yoga if you can believe that. No joke.)!! Sounds awesome...cheers!
Mmmmm.... that has fruit... is it too early for one??
Thanks G!
Spryte - never too early! Rum is a good part of every breakfast. I mean fruit. ;-)
Anything alcohol with strawberries totally speaks to me! And you wont ever find me in a bendy position...more like laid back almost horizontal-ish, and chillin and needing a bendy straw so I don't spill and waste such a lovely drink.
I am all for laid back! In fact.. my bed calls..
Laughing at Danielle's comment :)
Strawberry Coladas and me are a good match.
Yoga and me - not so much!
P.S. Never knew there was strawberry schnapps. I'm starting to think that I live in an alternate universe.
Love the strawberries in this--it takes the classic colada up a couple of notches. ;-)
